Skills and Abilities

·   Configured a 4 node encrypted Taclane mesh network between two sites for a VTC setup with server access.

·   Redesigned a production network to improve top down traffic flow, VLANS and segmented broadcast domains.  I implemented redesign in phases so that the production network stayed online for employee use.

·   Project lead of 6 employees to wire an empty office building with Cat5 cabling and in-wall office drops to a server room patch panel.  Performed measurements and calculations to maximize the cable runs per box to lower costs.

·   Built a syslog server and centralized security logging.

·   Migrated existing VMs in a VMware environment to a new network and VCenter Datacenter server hosts.

·   Migrated PCs, Servers and VMs, in phases, to a new network while staying in production.

·   Keeping PCs, Servers, VMware host, etc. patched and software updated in an air gapped, classified network.

·   Created extensive manuals and documentation on network and system maintenance and troubleshooting.

·   Designed, Implemented, monitor and maintain system backup procedures to ensure data and computer systems are recoverable
